Broccoli Cheese Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 T butter
  • 1/3 c finely chopped onion
  • 2 T all purpose flour
  • 2 c chicken broth
  • 1 10oz pack frozen broccoli, thawed
  • 2 c milk
  • 1 1/2 c cubed velveeta cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Heat butter in skillet. Add onion and cook until tender. Stir in flour. Stir in chicken broth gradually. Cook and stir until mixture boils and thickens. Add broccoli and cook for 2 mins. Add milk and cheese and cook over low heat until cheese is melted.
