mongolian beef

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lbs flank steak sliced thin against the grain
  • 1/4 c corn starch
  • 1 t minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 3/4 c brown sugar
  • 1 t ground ginger
  • 2 t olive oil
  • 3/4 c water
  • 3/4 c soy sauce
  • 1 c grated carrots

Preparation

Step 1

1) add steak and corn starch to ziploc bag and shake til coated

2) add the rest of ingredients except carrots to crock pot and stir. add coated beef to crock pot and stir til beef is coated with sauce

3) cook 2-3 hours on high adding the carrots during the last 30 minutes
