Shrimp Burgers

These are the best shrimp burgers ever. You can really taste the lemon in them and they are moist. I serve them with my own homemade hamburger buns.

Ingredients

  • 1-lb large shrimp, peeled, deveined and coarsely chopped
  • 4 T mayonnaise
  • 3 T chopped green onions
  • 1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp ground red pepper
  • 1 T fresh lemon juice
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 c Panko crumbs, dividied
  • 1/4 c peanut oil

Preparation

Step 1

Combine shrimp, 4 T mayonnaise and next 9 ingredients. Stir in 3/4 c Panko crumbs. Place remaining Panko crumbs in a shallow dish. Shape shrimp burgers into 4 patties. Dredge patties in Panko crumbs. Heat 2 T oil in skillet on medium-high heat. Fry patties for 3 minutes on each side or until browned. Add more oil if needed. You can eat them plain, with shrimp sauce or mayonnaise. Put on a bun and eat.
