Ingredients
- 2 lbs potatoes (6 medium)
- 1/4 Cup finely chopped onion
- 3 Tbsps. flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 2 1/2 cup milk
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350 degrees F
Wash potatoes, pare and slice about 4 cups
Arrange potatoes in 4 layers, in a greased 2qt casserole, sprinkling each of the first 3 layers with 1 tbsps. onion, 1 tbsps. flour, 1/4 tsp salt and pepper, and dotting with 1 tbsps. butter
Sprinkle top with remaining onion, salt, pepper, remaining butter. Heat milk to scalding and pour over potatoes.
Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 60 to 70 minutes or until tender.
Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.
