King's Arms Tavern Kidney Bean Relish

This recipe is originally from The Williamsburg Cookbook. We loved the salad/relish so much we just had to purchase the cookbook.

Ingredients

  • 2 (15.5oz) cans kidney beans, rinsed & drained
  • 1 medium red onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon chives, snipped
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Mix beans and onion.

Combine all other ingredients in a separate bowl. Wisk until combined.

Pour dressing over beans and onions. Stir to combine.

Let stand at least 2 hours before serving.

** This recipe works great with any combo of canned beans.
