Ingredients
- 1 cup (250ml) canned crabmeat, drained
- 1 cup (250ml) breadcrumbs
- 1 small red pepper, finely chopped
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp. (15ml.) dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp. (15ml.) liquid honey
- 1 tsp. (5ml.) chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. (2ml.) cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. (2ml.) sea salt
- 1/2 tsp. (2ml.) ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp. (30ml.) olive oil
Preparation
Step 1
Combine all ingredients, except the olive oil, in a bowl.
Mix well and shape into 4 patties.
Heat the olive oil in a suate pan on medium heat and brown the crab cakes for 15 minutes, turning once.
Serve with a nicely flavored mayonnaise.
