Spicy Crab Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250ml) canned crabmeat, drained
  • 1 cup (250ml) breadcrumbs
  • 1 small red pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. (15ml.) dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp. (15ml.) liquid honey
  • 1 tsp. (5ml.) chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. (2ml.) cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. (2ml.) sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp. (2ml.) ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp. (30ml.) olive oil

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients, except the olive oil, in a bowl.

Mix well and shape into 4 patties.

Heat the olive oil in a suate pan on medium heat and brown the crab cakes for 15 minutes, turning once.

Serve with a nicely flavored mayonnaise.
