Crunchy honey garlic pork chops

Ingredients

  • 6-8 pork chops not too thick
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 T water
  • 2 c flour
  • 1 t each of salt, pepper and garlic powder
  • canola oil for frying
  • Glaze
  • 1 1/2 c honey, 1/2 c brown sugar, 1/2 t ginger, dash of cayenne, 1/2 c soy sauce, 1 T chopped garlic, 2 T butter

Preparation

Step 1

whisk eggs and water in shallow dish
mix flour salt pepper and garlic powder in another shallow dish
dip chops in flour then egg then back to flour
shake a little and place in pan with 1/2 in hot oil-turn down to medium
cook 6 mins on each side turning only once
remove from pan to baking dish
saute garlic in a little butter-add soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, cayenne and ginger
bring to boil and then reduce heat right away and simmer 5 mins
pour 1/2 the glaze over chops, flip and then pour over the other half
bake at 350 for 30 minutes
works with chicken too
