Chocolate Walnut Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 stick of margarine (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 large very ripe bananas
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 Cup of chopped walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a 9×5 loaf pan with non-stick butter flavored spray.
Mash bananas.
In a mixing bowl, cream margarine and sugar together.
Stir in egg, mashed bananas, and vanilla until well blended.
Add baking soda, cocoa, and flour.
Mix everything until combined. Fold in chopped walnuts.
Pour batter into loaf pan.
Bake 50 minutes.
Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes.
Invert the loaf pans onto a cooling rack.
