Ingredients
- 3-4 Bacon Slices
- Cabbage, 1 head rinsed, cored, sliced
- Olive Oil, 2 tablespoon, optional
- Onion, optional
- Chicken broth, ~ 1/2 cup
Preparation
Step 1
Fry bacon crisp, then place on paper towel to drain. Add sliced cabbage to bacon drippings tossing to coat. Add olive oil tossing to coat if desired. Cover and fry cabbage over medium heat for 15-30 minutes (to desired texture) turning every 7-10 minutes. Add chicken broth and simmer uncovered until liquid is reduced - turning cabbage in broth as the pan deglazes to enrich the flavor. Sprinkle bacon over cabbage (or save for a sandwich) and serve!
