Cinnamon-Raisin Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinammon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 recipe Orange Glaze

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

3. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Add cream cheese, stirring to combine. Stir in raisins. Add cream, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.

4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 3/4-inch thickness. Using a 2 1/2-inch round cutter, cut biscuits, without twisting. Place biscuits on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 13-15 minutes, or until lightly browned. Brush hot biscuits with orange glaze. Serve immediately.
