BUTTERY CORN BREAD

2/3 c butter, 1 c sugar, 3 eggs, 1 2/3 c milk, 2 1/3 c flour, 1 c cornmeal, 4 ½ tsp baking powder, 1 tsp salt. Cream butter and sugar. Combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture and alternate with egg mixture. Pour into a greased 13 in x 9 in x 2 in baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 22-27 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Serve warm. WE TRIED THIS ON 3/27/11 AND EVERYONE LOVED THEM. TEHY WERE VERY GOOD. HOWEVER TOOK ALOT LONGER THAN 27 MINUTES TO COOK, PROB CLOSE TO 45 MIN
