Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups light sour cream
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup white sugar or 1/3 cup honey
- 1/2 cup cold butter cubed
- 2/3 cup white chocolate (more is always better)!!!
- 1/2 cup berries
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350
1. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and white sugar (if using honey add it with second step). With a pastry blender cut in cold butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Add white chocolate and berries.
2. In a small secondary bowl, whisk together sour cream, egg and vanilla extract (and honey if you choose to use instead of sugar).
3. Add egg mixture and stir with a fork until a rough dough results.
Knead in large bowl or turn out onto a floured surface and knead until flour is mixed in completely. Makes 20 scones.
Bake for 18-20 minutes. 7 WW points/scone
