Ingredients
- Beets 1 c sugar
- 2 c water Pickling spices
- 1 1/3 c vinegar
Preparation
Step 1
Cook beets. Cool, peel and quarter if large enough or slice. Pack in hot jars. Combine remaining ingredients and bring to boil stirring occasionally to dissolve sugar. Pour over beets using a sieve for spices and seal.
Makes about 4 pints.
