Strawberry Custard Squares

Ingredients

  • 1 C flour
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/2 C chilled butter
  • 2 T whipping cream
  • 1/2 C flour
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 3 C sliced strawberries
  • Topping
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 T flour
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 C whipping cream
  • 1 t vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Spray 9 x 13 pan with Pam. In a small bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in half cup butter until result looks like course sand. (food processor) Stir in cream and pat dough in bottom of pan.

Combine 1/2 C flour and sugar. Sprinkle over crust. Put sliced strawberries on top.

Topping: Mix sugar and flour. Stir in eggs, cream and vanilla. Pour over fruit.

Bake 40 - 45 minutes until top is lightly brown at 375 degrees. Cool, then refrigerate.

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
