Apple Cinnamon Puffs

Ingredients

  • 2 C flour
  • 1 pkg quick rise yeast
  • 2 T sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 C warm water
  • 1/4 C oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 C chopped apples
  • 3 T melted butter
  • 1/4 C sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

- Combine 1 C flour, yeast, 2 T sugar and salt; mix well
- Add very warm water (120 - 130 degrees) and oil to flour mixture; mix well, add egg; beat 3 min at medium speed; gently stir in apples and remaining flour to make soft batter
- Spoon into well-greased muffin tins; cover; let rise in warm place until double - about 30 min- Bake at 375 for 15-20 min until brown
- Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon; spray tops with coooking spray and dip tops into topping
