Italian sausage and pasta with tomato cream sauce

Ingredients

  • 8 oz bow tie pasta
  • 1.25 pounds Italian sausage
  • 1 can petite diced tomatoes, drained well
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 pint (1 cup) heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

cook pasta
brown sausage and crumble, drain
return to skillet add tomatoes, oregano, garlic, and salt. stir well
add cream and bring to a slight boil. reduce heat to medium and simmer uncovered 8-10 min or until sauce is reduced or thick
Mix with pasta and top with cheese
