Ingredients
- 1 (9") pie shell, baked
- 3 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 1/3 cup water
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 3 egg yolks, beaten
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 bananas, sliced, dipped in lemon juice and drained
- Whipped cream
Preparation
Step 1
In heavy saucepan, dissolve cornstarch in water; stir in condensed milk and egg yolks. Cook until thickened and bubbly. Be sure to stir the whole time.
Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Cool slightly. Arrange 2 sliced bananas on bottom of prepared pie shell. Pour filling over and cover.
Chill 4 hours or until set. Spread top with whipped cream, garnish with remaining banana slices.
Refrigerate leftovers.
