Banana Pudding

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 2 tbsp. corn starch
  • 4 cups milk
  • 6 sliced bananas
  • 1 box vanilla wafers
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Beat egg yolks. Add sugar and corn starch. Mix thoroughly. Add milk and cook in double boiler until creamy, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat, add vanilla. Place alternate layers of vanilla wafers, sliced bananas in large baking dish. Add custard.

Beat egg whites until stiff and add 8-tbsp. sugar. Spread over pudding and brown in a 350-degree oven. Serve hot or cold.
