Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tsps. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 6 tbs. cold butter, cut in small pieces
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup buttermilk, ice cold
- 1/2 tsp. dried parsley
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. line a baking sheet with parchment or silpat.
In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Use a pastry blender to cut in butter. you can also pulse in a food processor.
Add cheese and toss until coated with flour.
Add the buttermilk and stir just until combined-don't over mix. Drop by 1/4 cup fulls onto the baking sheet 2 inches apart.
Bake 14-16 minutes until golden around the edges. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine melted butter with parsley and garlic salt.
Remove biscuits from oven and brush melted butter mixture over the tops while hot. Serve warm.
