Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • sesame seeds
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Prepare green beans by pinching off the end connected to the vine. Break beans into bite size pieces if you like. I usually leave whole.

Put beans in a pot and add about 1/2 inch of water. Enough to boil for about 5 minutes.

Boil beans until they begin to get tender and are still bright green. If you cook to much they will begin to turn grey. Cook until al dente.

Remove from heat, pour water off and run cold water over beans to stop cooking.

In a frying pan melt the butter and coat bottom of pan.
Put beans in hot butter and re-heat. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and salt and pepper to taste.

When beans are warm - serve.
