Black Bean & Beef Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 tbs vegetable oil
  • 2 lbs boneless cheuck beef, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  • 2 cups chopped onion
  • 1 can(14.5 oz) beef broth
  • 1 cup beer or water
  • 1 can(6 oz)tomatoe paste
  • 3 tbls garlic powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cans(15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add beef and brown. Drain.

2. Add onion. Saute 5 min. Stir inn remaning ingredients except beans. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer 1-1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.

3. Add beans in the last 20 minutes of cooking.
