Strawberry Glaze (for Cheesecake)

  • 1 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 tblsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Red food colouring (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Crush berries in a saucepan. Add water (save some water to mix cornstarch with) and cook about 2 minutes. Mash berries if needed.

Mix cornstarch in water, then gradually stir into berry mixture, also stir in sugar. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Will thicken. Cool to room temperature. Poor over chilled cheesecake and chill again 1-2 hours.
