Italian Marinade for Beef Steaks

This marinade is delicious on steaks but can easily be adapted to poultry or game meats.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 C soy sauce
  • 2 TBS brown sugar
  • 2 TBS lemon juice
  • 2 TBS olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 TBS minced onion
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a shallow bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, onion, ginger and pepper. Coat steak (about 1 1/2 lb) with marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
2. Prepare an outdoor grill for high heat, and lightly oil the grate.
3. Grill the steak for 7 to 8 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.
