Korean Beef Ribs

This recipe is best cooked on the grill, but during the winter you can enjoy it cooked on an indoor grill.

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs beef short ribs. Look for, or order, "plate-cut" beef short ribs.
  • Marinade
  • 1/4 C Sake or Sherry
  • 1/4 C sesame seed oil
  • 2 to 3 TBS toasted sesame seeds
  • 4 to 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 C chopped green onion tops
  • 1/2 C soy sauce
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 TBS grated ginger

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all Marinade ingredients in a dish or large heavy plastic bag.
Add the short ribs and allow to stand, covered, in the marinade for at least 8 hours, or overnight.

Remove ribs from marinade and cook on outdoor/indoor grill at medium temperature.

This recipe is best cooked over charcoal at medium heat; however, gas or other mediums may be used for grilling.
