Slow Cooker Recipe: Peach Glazed Chicken Breast

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 1/4 cups peach preserves
  • 2/3 cup French dressing
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • slivered almonds, optional
  • rice, optional

Preparation

Step 1

Season both sides of chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, combine apricot preserves, French dressing, onion and garlic powders, and salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
Place chicken in the base of slow cooker and cover with apricot seasoning.
Cook on low for 6 hours.
Prepare rice according to packaging directions.
Make sure chicken is cooked all the way through, taste and adjust seasoning, if necessary.
Slice breasts into medallions, transfer to serving plates and serve hot, with rice and almonds.
Drizzle remaining sauce over the top and enjoy.
