Pork Chops, San Francisco

Ingredients

  • 4 Boneless PORK CHOPS
  • 1 T. Canola OIL
  • 1 C. APPLE JUICE
  • 1/2 C. Brown SUGAR *
  • 1/2 C. SOY SAUCE **
  • 3 T. CORNSTARCH
  • 1/2 C. COLD WATER

Preparation

Step 1

Brown PORK CHOPS on both sides in lidded skillet, Cooking at least 4 minutes each side.

Mix the APPLE JUICE, Brown SUGAR and SOY SAUCE together and ADD to the skillet.
Bring to a boil.
Cover skillet....Simmer on low for 20 minutes.
Remove the chops.
Mix together the CORNSTARCH and COLD WATER and stir into skillet liquid.
Turn heat up to medium high and stir until sauce thickens.
Return chops to skillet to coat with sauce.
Serve with egg noodles or Brown Rice.

Diabetic Substitute:
( * ) 1/4 C. EQUAL-BROWN SUGAR Mix
( ** ) 1/2 C. BRAGG Liquid AMINO (contains less sodium)
