Mom’s Turkey Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 2 loaves bread, any kind (day old bread is best)
  • 1 lb butter
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 4-6 large stalks celery, finely diced
  • 2-3 tbsp Sage
  • 2-3 tbsp Poultry seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Lawry’s to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Cut bread into small cubes and place into large mixing bowl. Add seasonings to bread crumbs and toss well. Cook celery and onions in butter until tender and clear. (you can either sauté in a large fry pan or cook in the microwave oven.) Add celery, onions and butter to seasoned bread crumbs and mix well. If too dry, add small amount chicken broth to moisten.

Stuff into 15-20 lb turkey.
