Vidalia Onion Casserole

Ingredients

  • 4 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 12 saltines, crushed
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onions in butter until tender. Reserve 3 T. crackers. Line a 8x11 in. buttered pan with crackers. Alternate layers of onions and soup until all ingredients are used. Top with beaten eggs. Pour milk over layers. Sprinkle with crackers and cheese. Bake 20-30 min. at 350.
