Ingredients
- Topping:
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. white vinegar
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 cup flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups peeled, chopped apples
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tsp. flour
- 2 Tsp. butter
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine butter and sugar. Dissolve baking soda in milk and white vinegar. Add eggs. Stir together and add remaining bread ingredients.
2. Pour Batter (it will be thick) into buttered loaf pan. Combine ingredients for topping, mixing until crumbly. Sprinkle topping over batter, covering surface evenly.
3. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes in the preheated oven, until a knife inserted into the crown of the loaf comes out clean. Let the loaf cool in the pan for at least five minutes. Then turn out onto a cooling rack, and cool completely.
