Ingredients
- 4 oz fettuccine pasta
- 3/4 lb raw shrimp, peeled, deveined and tails removed
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 tbs flour
- 1 tbs oil
- 1 tbs butter
- 1 1/4 c chicken broth
- 1/2 c whipping cream
- 1/2 tsp cajun seasoning
Preparation
Step 1
Cook pasta according to pkg directions. Sprinkle shrimp with salt, pepper and toss to combine. Sprinkle 1 tbs flour over the shrimp and toss to coat. Sprinkle 1 more tbs of flour and toss to evenly coat. melt butter and oil in large skillet over med high heat. When hot, add shrimp in a single layer and cook on each side, flipping once, until golden brown, approximately 2-3 mins per side. Remove to plate. pour in chicken broth. Cook for about 5 mins, whisking constantly. cook sauce over med heat until bubbly and the cream start to thicken the mixture about 5 mins. Taste the sauce and add seasoning as desired, salt, pepper, cajun seasoning, etc. Add the drained pasta and shrimp to the sauce and stir to combine
