Ingredients
- 1/4 cup vegetable shortening or oil
- 1 cup yellow corn meal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg, beaten
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 400*. Combine dry ingredients. Add shortening or oil, milk, & egg. Beat with egg beater until smooth, about 1 minute. Pour into hot greased corn stick pan. Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
