Rum Raisin Apple Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 C. unsifted flour
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 1/3 C. milk
  • 1 C. real mayonnaise
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. Baking soda
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • nutmeg, cloves, salt - tsp.
  • 3 C. peeled, chopped tart apples
  • 1 C. raisins soaked in 2 tab. Dark rum
  • C. chopped walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Combine first 10 ingredients. Stir in apples & raisins and nuts. Pour into two greased and floured 9" cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Frost with whipped cream. Refrigerate until time to serve.
