Caramel Popcorn

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 t 1/2 t salt
  • 1/2 c 1/2 c corn syrup
  • 1 t 1 t vanilla
  • 1/2 t 1/2 t soda
  • 12 cups 12 cups popcorn,popped
  • 2 cups 2 cups peanuts

Preparation

Step 1

Pour popcorn into buttered cake pan (be sure to get all the uncooked kernels out). Add peanuts. Set aside. Bring first four ingredients to a boil. Cook 5 minutes or until soft-ball stage. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and soda. Pour over popcorn and nuts. Cook at 250 degrees for 25-30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Cool on wax paper.
