Ingredients
- 1/2 lb Bulk Sausage, pork
- 1 cup Onions, diced small
- 1 cup Celery, diced small
- 2 Tbs Unsalted Butter
- 1 tsp Dried Sage, chopped
- 1 tsp Dried Rosemary, chopped
- 1 tsp Dried Thyme, chopped
- 3 cups Cornbread, crumbled
- 3 cups White Bread, cubed and dried
- 1 cup Chicken Broth
- 1 large Apple, cored, peeled and diced
- 2 Tbs Fresh Parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 cup Red Bell Pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup Golden Raisins, optional
- Basic Cornbread
Preparation
Step 1
1. Saute sausage until brown. Remove from pan and place in a large mixing bowl.
Saute onions and celery in butter.
Add sage, rosemary and thyme.
When the mixture is softened, about 3 minutes, put into bowl with sausage. Add the remaining ingredients to the mixing bowl.
If mixture is too dry add more stock.
