Ingredients
- Simmer: 2 T. vinegar
- 4 T. olive oil
- Dash of pepper
- 2 T. sugar
- 1/4 t. salt
- Add: 1 t. almond flavoring
- Chill
- Carmelize: 1/2 c. slivered or sliced almonds--1/4 c. + 2 T. sugar
- Pour out on plate to cool
- Combine: 1/2 head lettuce
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 med. can mandarin oranges, drained

Just before serving, add the dressing and almonds.
