Apple Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 can 20 oz unsweetened pineapple chunks
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • 2 T corn starch
  • 2 T water
  • 1 c may use low fat
  • 8 c chopped apples
  • 2 c green grapes
  • 2 t poppy seeds
  • 3/4 c walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Drain pineapple, reserve juice. set aside pineapple. Place juice in saucepan. add butter, sugar, lemon juice.. Bring to a boil. Combine cornstarch and water til smooth. Add to saucepan.Return to boil,cook for 2 min stirring. chill. Stir in mayo. In large bowl combine apples, pineapple,grapes, poppy seeds and cooked dressing. Fold in nuts just before serving.
