Potato Dough for Plum Dumplings

This recipe contains potatoes instead of pot cheese and was used by my grandmother when I was in Austria

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs potatoes -- cooked, peeled and rices
  • 3 cups flour
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • Salt
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter

Preparation

Step 1

To the cooked, peeled and riced potatoes add flour, sugar, eggs salt and melted butter and mix to form a firm dough.
Chill about an hour.
Cut in pieces and place plums in the middle.
Cook in salted water about 8 to 8 minutes
Roll in the flavored bread crumbs.
