CINDY’S CRAB NEWBERG

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp Butter
  • 1/4 lb Mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 Medium Green Pepper (diced)
  • 2 Tbsp Flour
  • 1 1/2 Cups Milk
  • 3 Tbsp Dry Sherry
  • 3/4 lb Crab Meat
  • (Imitation Crab Meat works good)
  • Cooked Rice

Preparation

Step 1

In a large skillet, melt 4 Tbsp butter. Add the chopped pepper and mushrooms. Saute about 5 minutes. Stir in 2 Tbsp flour and stir for 1 minute. Add 1 ½ Cups Milk and continue to stir until thickened and smooth. Add the crab meat (if you use imitation crab, cut it in 1 inch chunks). Add the Sherry and stir well. Heat thoroughly and serve over rice.
