White chocolate/ cranberry cookies

  • 1 1/2 c flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp cream of tarter
  • 8 t unsalted room temp butter
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/3 c light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c white chocolate chips
  • 3/4 c dried cranberries

Preparation

Step 1

1) preheat oven to 350. in bowl mix first 4 ingredients. in large bowl using electric mixer on md speed, beat butter and both sugars til light; about 3 minutes scraping down sides of bowl. add almond extract and egg; beat tl smooth. reduce speed to low, add flour mixture. fold in chips and cranberries.

20 form dough into 1" balls; place 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. bake til edges are set but soft in the middle; about 9 minutes; rotating sheets halfway through.
