Baked Cheesy Chicken and Pasta

Chicken Breasts served over a bed of cheesy Pasta. Makes a great quick and easy dinner for 4.

Ingredients
- 4 Chicken Breasts(6-8 oz.)
- 8 oz. Pasta(shells, penne, or masticoilli work best)
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup each shredded cheese(I prefer Sharp Cheddar, asiago, and provolone)
- 1/4 cup stick butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp. italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 2 TBSP. scallions
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Mix Onion powder, Garlic powder, Italian seasoning, Parmesan cheese, and bread crumbs in a shallow bowl or dish. Set aside.
Remove all fat from chicken breasts.
Mix butter, milk, cream, and water together. Pour into 9" X 13" pan.
Add Cheeses. Mix thoroughly. Add Pasta. Cover and place in oven for 25 minutes.
While pasta is baking-break egg into shallow dish or bowl. Mix with a fork.
Dip chicken breasts in egg, then into bread crumb mixture. Place chicken on cookie sheet or flat baking pan. Put in oven along side pasta for 8 minutes. Flip chicken over and return to oven for an additional 8 minutes.
Remove cover from pasta. Mix well. place chicken on top of pasta. Spread any remaining bread crumb mixture over entire dish. Return to oven for assitional 8 minutes. Chop green ends of scallions and spread over dish. Serve with vegatable side dish.
