GINGER BEEF CASSEROLE

Ingredients

  • SAUCE:
  • 1 lb. beef meat, sliced
  • 4 green onons, cut to 2" lengths
  • 1 tbsp ginger, shredded
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 4 oz. water chestnuts, sliced
  • 1/4 cup onion, shredded
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • drops of sesame seed oil
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1-1/2 tbsp tapioca starch
  • 1 tbsp chinese cooking wine

Preparation

Step 1

1. Marinate beef with 1 tsp tapioca starch, 2 tbsps light soy sauce, 1 tbsp chinese cooking wine and drops of sesame seed oil.

2. Heat wok, brown green onionsm garlic, onion and ginger. Add beef and saute until meat changes color. Add sauce and bring to a boil. Transfer to heat-proof casserole.

3. Heat casserole until sauce comes to a boil. Serve from the casserole whie sauce is still bubbling.
