Polish Sausage and Tortellini

Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen tortellini (not walmart!)
  • 1 lb polish sausage (Chorizo)
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • salt & pepper
  • 2 t basil, dried (or 2 T fresh)
  • olive oil
  • parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Cook tortellini as directed on package, drain and rinse lightly with cold water. Slice sausage and saute in olive oil in large skillet. When lightly browned, add onion and garlic and cook till onion is getting soft. Add cooked tortellini, basil and salt & pepper to taste.
When tortellini is golden, drizzle with olive oil and toss. Remove from pan and sprinkle with parmesan cheese
