STRAWBERRY SALAD

Ingredients

  • 1 BUNCH OF ROMAINE, CHOPPED
  • 1 PT STRAWBERRIES, SLICED
  • 1/2 RED ONION, SLICED THIN
  • 1/2 CUP SLIVERED ALMONDS
  • 1/2 CUP SUGAR
  • 1 TABLESPOON BUTTER
  • 3/4 CUP MAYO
  • 1/4 CUP MILK
  • 1/3 CUP SUGAR
  • 2 TABLESPOONS RASPBERRY VINEGAR
  • 2 TABLESPOONS POPPY SEEDS

Preparation

Step 1


COOK ON STOVE – 1 TABLESPOON OF BUTTER, ½ CUP OF SUGAR AND ½ CUP OF SLIVERED ALMONDS UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN.
MIX TOGETHER ¾ CUP MAYO, ¼ CUP OF MILK, 1/3 CUP OF SUGAR, 2 TABLESPOONS RASPBERRY VINEGAR AND 2 TABLESPOONS POPPY SEEDS.
CUT UP ROMAINE LETTUCE, STRAWBERRIES AND RED ONION. MIX AND ADD COOKED ALMONDS AND TOSS IN SALAD DRESSING… ENJOY!
