Clam Chowder

Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 carrots chopped
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • 2 c chicken stock
  • 1 tsp worchestershire sauce
  • dash of tobasco
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 c raw clams with juice or 3 14-ounce cans of clams
  • 1 pint light cream

Preparation

Step 1

Saute bacon until crisp
Add onion,potatoes,celery,carrots and garlic
Saute 2 min
Add chicken stock,worchester,tobasco,salt and pepper
Cover pot and simmer 15 min.
Mash potatoes
Heat clams in their juices for 3 min and add to vegetables
Stir in light cream
Refrigerate until ready to serve and reheat.
