WARM BRIE WITH CARAMELIZED APPLES

Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick unsalted butter
  • 4 large Golden Delicious apples, peeled,
  • cored and sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 12"-wheel Brie
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced, toasted almonds

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°. Melt butter in
heavy skillet over medium-high heat; add
apples and saute 3 minutes. Sprinkle with
sugar and continue cooking until golden
brown and just tender, 8-10 minutes.
Slice Brie in half horizontally. Spread
half of sauteed apples on bottom half; top with second half of Brie. Spread remaining apples on top. Bake about 10 minutes until warmed thoroughly. Remove from oven and top with toasted almonds .
