Ingredients
- 8-10 Tea bags
- 2 cups fresh bing cherries, mashed
- 1 gallon cold water
- 4 sprigs of mint
Preparation
Step 1
In a large covered jar, combine tea bags, mashed cherries, water and mint. Place jar outside in a sunny spot. Let sit about 4 hours, if the day remains sunny; 6-8 hours, if it becomes partly cloudy. Remove tea bags. Strain liquid into clean glass jar. If tea is to be used in a day or two, let it sit at room temperature. Leftover tea can be refrigerated after that, but tea gets cloudy in refrigerator. If desired, add sweetener or maraschino cherry juice to servings.
