Jalapeño spinach

Ingredients

  • 1 10 oz pkg frozen chopped spinach
  • 3 tbsp onion
  • 6 Tbsp butter divided
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup eveporated milk
  • 1/4 cup reserved spinach licqued
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp worcestershir
  • 1/2 brick pepper jack cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Cook spinach in boiling water. Drain Spinach well reserving 1/4 cup water
Sauté onion in 3 Tbsp butter. Blend in flour with spoon. Slowly add milk, spinach water and seasonings. Cook until thick. Add spinach and cheese (cut into small pieces). Stir until melted.
