Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Pineapple Supreme cake Mix
  • 1/2 c butter or margarine
  • 1 c firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 (20oz) can pineapple slices, drained
  • red maraschino cherries, drained and halved

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350

2. Melt butter in ungreased 9x13in pan.

3. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly in pan.

4. Arrange pineapple slices on brown sugar. Place maraschino cherry halves, cut side up in center of pineapple slices.

5. Prepare cake mix following package directions for basic recipe. Pour batter evenly over fruit in pan.

6. Bake at 350 for 43-48 min or until tooth pick inserted in center comes out clean.

7. Cool 5 min in pan. Invert onto heat resistant serving plate.
