Cabbage and Noodles (Kapusta & Halushka - slovak recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Large Head of Cabbage
  • 16 oz. Bag Noodles
  • 2 Tbs. Vinegar
  • 3 Tbs. Butter
  • 1 Large Onion
  • 2 Tbs. Brown Sugar
  • 4 Tbs. Bacon Grease

Preparation

Step 1

Chop cabbage into small pieces and fry with brown sugar, bacon grease, and vinegar; cook until tender. While cabbage is cooking, boil noodles for 10-12 minutes. Chop onion and saute in butter. When all ingredients are cooked, mix together and add onion. Salt and pepper to taste.
