Ingredients
- 3 links hot italian turkey sausage, removed from casings
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 8 oz brocolini, trimmed and cut into 1" pieces
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 c water
- 8 oz orecciette
- 1/2 c marinara sauce
- 4 oz goat cheese
Preparation
Step 1
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage and cook; breaking into pieces, until browned, 6-8 mins. Remove from skillet.
Reduce the heat to medium and add the oil, onion and garlic to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, 6-8 mins.
Add broccolini, salt, pepper and water to skillet. Cover and steam until broccolini is crisp tender, 5 mins.
Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1 c pasta water; drain.
Add marinara, goat cheese, sausage and 1/2 c pasta water to skillet over medium high heat. Stir to combine. Add pasta and toss to coat, adding more pasta water if needed. Serve.
